Introduction

The Impactify competition, a premier product management case study event, was a highlight of Jagriti 2025, the annual socio-awareness festival of IIT (BHU) Varanasi, held from January 17 to January 19, 2025. The competition attracted 539 teams from various esteemed institutions, all eager to present innovative solutions to pressing societal challenges.

Competition Structure

The competition was meticulously structured into three rigorous rounds, each designed to test different facets of product management and innovative thinking:

   1. First Round: Online Quiz

The initial round featured an online quiz that assessed participants’ foundational knowledge in product management principles and current healthcare challenges. Out of 39 participating teams, only the top 50 teams advanced to the subsequent round, underscoring the competitive nature of the event.

   2. Second Round: – Presentation Submission

In this phase the selected 50 teams were tasked with developing a comprehensive presentation that proposed an innovative app solution to address the healthcare worker gap. Our team, Gladiators, comprising Ujjwal Jain, Reeya Tiwari , and myself, invested significant effort into researching and designing an app aimed at bridging this critical gap in the healthcare sector. Our submission among the 14 that were selected to advance to the final round, reflecting the strength and feasibility of our proposed solution.

   3. Third Round-Campus Presentation

The final round was conducted offline at the IIT (BHU) campus. Each of the 14 final teams presented their solutions to a distinguished panel of judges, including industry experts and academicians. This round provided an invaluable opportunity to showcase our ideas and receive constructive feedback from leaders in the field.

Our Presentation: Bring the Gap Between Healthcare Workers and Technology

In the final round, our presentation focused on the theme of “Bridging the Gap Between Healthcare Workers and Technology.” We identified a significant challenge in the healthcare sector: the disconnect between healthcare professionals and the rapidly evolving technological tools designed to enhance patient care.

Our proposed solution was innovative mobile application aimed at:

  • Enhancing Communication:- Facilitating seamless communication among healthcare teams, ensuring that critical information is shared promptly and accurately.
  • Providing Training and Support Offering on-demand access to training modules and resources to help healthcare workers stay updated with the latest medical technologies and protocols.
  • Streamlining Workflow: Integrate scheduling, patient records, d task management to reduce administrative burdens and allow healthcare workers to focus more on patient care.

We emphasized that by leveraging such theory, healthcare workers can overcome barriers to technology adoption, leading to improved patient outcomes and increased efficiency in healthcare delivery. This approach aligns with current trends in acted health, which aim to maximize healthcare resources and provide flexible opportunities for consumers to engage with clinicians and better self-manage their care.

Our Experience

On the day of the final presentation, our team experienced a blend of nervousness and excitement. We were acutely aware of the formidable competition and the mistakes involved. However, our confidence in the robustness of our solution and the thoroughness of our preparation prove reassurance. As we delivered our presentation, we felt a profound sense of pride in representing our college and contributing to a cause as significant healthcare. The judges’ attentive listening and insightful questions further enriched the experience, challenging us to think critically and defend our proposal effectively.

Achievement

We are proud to report that Team Gladiators secured the 5th position out of the 14 teams in the final round. This accomplishment is a testament to our hard work, collaboration, and the robust support system that backed us throughout this journey.
