DR. WAHEEDA SUNNY THOMAS

Bio

Dr. Waheeda S Thomas carries a rich teaching experience of 25 years at under-graduate and postgraduate levels and administrative experience as Principal of a NAAC ‘A’ Grade College. Her areas of teaching include Business Economics, Managerial Economics, Business Environment, International Trade, Public Finance, and Economic Analysis. She has also worked with the National Institute of Bank Management – Pune, Institute of Rural Management Anand, and Action for Agricultural Renewal in Maharashtra, one of the largest NGOs in Maharashtra.

Her doctoral research examines the global competitiveness of India’s agricultural export.  Her areas of research interests also include the agro-processing sector of India, sustainable development goals, and excellence in higher education. She has presented and published her work in various national and international (within India) conferences/seminars, and organised and chaired Research Conferences. She has published 2 textbooks, 6 reference books, and more than 30 research papers and co-edited 1 ebook. She has been recognized as a Ph.D. guide in the area of Economics at Sardar Patel University from 2015 to 2020, thereafter at CVM University. She has been the Editor-in-Chief of the UGC care listed journal and editor of Newsletter Drive from 2017 to 2021. She is a reviewer at Transnational Corporation Review.
