Dr. Naveen Kashyap

Bio

Dr Naveen Kashyap is a professor in psychology with the Indian Institute of Technology
Guwahati Assam. He completed his PhD from IIT Bombay and thereafter joined IIT Guwahati
as Senior Lecturer in Psychology. His research interests are in the filed of experimental
psychology, human memory and attention, sleep and information processing. He has established
a state-of-the-art sleep and cognition laboratory at the department of HSS with help from
multiple projects from DST and IIT Guwahati. His lab majorly focuses on the field of human
cognition. He has published various peer reviewed papers and attended various
national/international conferences. He received the prestigious INSA bilateral exchange
fellowship to visit Charite Hospital Berlin and conduct research in the field of sleep and
information processing. He is also engaged in developing and teaching various MOOCS-NPTEL
courses in psychology which are very popular among students across India.
