The joyous festivals of Lohri and Makar Sankranti were celebrated by the Arts and Culture Club of UBS. These celebrations herald the end of the winter season and the Sun’s entry into Capricorn, bringing a breath of new life and new beginnings. The students observed it ceremonially by first building a bonfire and then participating in the all-time popular kite-flying activity.
